Vegan Chalupa Supremes ft. gardein Plant-Based Ground Be’f 🤌🏼

I don’t know about y’all, but Chalupa Supremes were my go-to order in my pre-vegan days. Luckily, they’re super easy to veganize!

I made the shells myself using a recipe on Food.com — if you google Chalupa recipe, it should be the first to pop up! Just sub the milk for non-dairy 🙂 I also heard you can fry up pita bread for chalupa shells, but haven’t tried myself so can’t confirm if that’ll be good. Here’s what you need to make the rest of the Chalupas:

Taco Seasoning:
•1 tablespoon chili powder
•2 teaspoons ground cumin
•1 teaspoon garlic powder
•1 teaspoon dried Mexican oregano leaves
•1 teaspoon kosher salt
•1⁄2 teaspoon chipotle chile powder

Chalupas:
•2 teaspoons oil
•1 (13.7 oz) bag Gardein Plant-Based Ground Be’f
•Vegan Sour Cream
•Lettuce
•Tomatoes
•Vegan Cheddar-Style Shred •Hot sauce, optional

Directions:
1. For the taco seasoning, combine the ingredients in a small bowl and mix well to combine. Set aside.
2. If making your own chalupa shells, cook according to directions (again, I used the recipe from Food.com, swapping out the mill for non-dairy).
3. Meanwhile, add the oil to a nonstick sauté pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the Gardein crumbles, season with the reserved taco seasoning cook according to package directions.
4. To build the chalupas, add a couple tablespoons of the Beefless ground, ed by some sour cream, lettuce tomatoes, and shredded cheese. ENJOY!
